As Brooke and Michael's wedding day approached we all watched the weather with our fingers crossed. Brooke had been dreaming of a lush, outdoor wedding surrounded by greenery and as the rain kept coming down we realized the plans would need to change but the reason for their wedding would not waiver.
Michael and Brooke love each other with a powerful yet soft kind of love. It is palpable when you are around them yet their words and actions are kind and affectionate. And the words shared by their friends and family throughout the day told the exact same story. The amount of tears and excitement from everyone in attendance was a testament for just how special the love that Brooke and Michael share really is.
I arrived at The Windmill Winery in Florence, Arizona under dark clouds with as many clear umbrellas I could find. As the day went on the rain came and went and came back again. Luckily, the Lake House at Windmill Winery has one of the prettiest indoor rooms that they were able to convert into a beautiful ceremony space to avoid the rain. Immediately after the ceremony we exited out the barn doors to a rain-less sky and couldn't have been more excited! We had a limited amount of time for Brooke and Michael's bride and groom portraits and the rain held off the entire time! One of my biggest prayers for the day was to be able to give Brooke the portraits she dreamed about with the beautiful, green scenery at the venue and I am so glad we were able to get them! Despite all of the wild weather, their wedding day was so beautiful and full of celebration.
Michael and Brooke, your love is inspiring and I just know that it will only get stronger as
time goes on as husband and wife!
